Frequently asked questions
A few things you might be wondering about the photographs, artwork, and ordering process.
My pet has already passed away. Can you still create artwork?
Yes. If you have clear photographs of your pet's nose, paws, or ears, I may be able to create something beautiful from them, even if the photographs were taken years ago. You're welcome to contact me with your photographs before ordering so I can assess whether there's enough detail to work from.
Can I submit multiple photographs?
Please do! You can upload as many photographs of each detail as you'd like. I'll use the ones that provide the clearest references for your artwork.
Can I include both a nose and paws in the same artwork?
Absolutely! You can mix and match your pet's nose, paws, and ears in any combination you like, from a single feature to all five in one composition.
Is the artwork created using AI?
No. Each piece is individually created by me in Photoshop, using your pet's actual photographs. I work meticulously with each image, bringing out the finest textures, contours, and markings while thoughtfully balancing the details to create a beautiful composition. Every photograph is different, so every piece requires its own artistic approach. There are no one-click filters or AI-generated images. Just years of artistic experience and obsessive attention to the smallest things.
What do I receive with a digital order?
You'll receive high-resolution JPG and PNG files of your finished artwork, ready to download, print, and frame however you choose. Both formats are suitable for professional printing. If your print shop needs a different file format, just ask!
What is included with the printed and framed option?
Your artwork is professionally printed on archival paper, matted, and framed in your choice of black or light natural wood. Packaging and shipping within the United States are included in the $45 printing and framing add-on.
Will my artwork be life-size, and how is the frame size determined?
I aim to recreate your pet's nose, paws, and ears as close to their actual size as possible. Including a photograph with a ruler or another object for scale helps me get the proportions right. The final artwork and frame sizes depend on your pet's dimensions and the details you choose.
Can I add my pet's name or a special message?
Yes. You can include your pet's name, a meaningful date, or a short phrase. There's a place to provide those details when ordering.
How long will my order take?
I aim to have your artwork ready within 14 business days, whether it's a digital file delivered by email or a finished, framed piece ready for shipping. Each piece is created individually, so turnaround times may vary depending on the number of orders in the studio. I always work to complete your artwork as soon as possible and will keep you informed of its progress.
What happens if my photographs aren't usable?
I'll review your photographs before beginning your artwork. If there isn't enough detail to work with, I'll contact you to see if you have other photographs we can try. If we're unable to find suitable images, I'll issue a full refund. I want you to love your finished artwork, and that starts with having the right photographs to work from.
